Barrelworks began humbly with 3 prototypes and 48 barrels filled with dreams. This year we commemorate the 9th consecutive release of Feral One from the storied Barrelworks program. Feral One is a salute to the unique barrels that stand apart from the rest and produce the most pronounced and magical Belgian beer characteristics. Over the years, Feral One has become our celebratory anniversary release and is our ode to the terroir of fermentation and those traditional farmhouse beers found in the lambic brewing regions of Belgium. For this year’s blend, we utilized a unique blend of beers aged between 36 and 48 months in oak. The result is an expressive ale with a mildly tart essence and a crisp carbonation. The centralized aroma of lemon zest prevails along with an elegant hint of vanilla dancing over primitive aged cellar notes.
