The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is the largest ticketed craft beer festival in the U.S. Held in Denver, Colorado every fall, our Firestone brew team looks forward to attending this event and bring home awards for our great beers.

Firestone poured a variety of beers including year-rounders such as Mind Haze, Pivo and Rosalie as well as specialty pours of Los Leñadores, Walker’s Cuvee and the Anniversary Ale.

An award ceremony is also held every year for breweries to win awards for practically every style of beer as well as the top honors of brewpub of the year.

Firestone’s Propagator location in Venice, California was excited to win a silver medal for Summer Opal in the classic Saison category.

Summer Opal is a limited-release farmhouse ale brewed exclusively with Best Heidelberger pilsner malt from Germany and Czech Saaz hops. Fermented with a unique Saison yeast that brings an expressive mix of fruit and spice with notes of lemon, clove and black pepper and an underlying bready, graham cracker malt character.

GABF is one of our favorite beer festivals to attend every year. Makes the experience even better when we are able to bring back an award for all our brew team’s hard work and passion for craft beer.

GABF brings together the brewers and diverse beers that make the US the world’s greatest brewing nation.
