Firestone Walker Beer Club Goes Next Level in 2022

For years, Brewmaster Matt Brynildson dreamed about creating a beer club that would directly connect our most interesting beers with our most passionate fans.

That time finally came with the launch of the Brewmaster’s Collective beer club last January—and it continues with the 2022 edition that is open to new members starting today.

As Matt says, “The Brewmaster’s Collective is our way of diving even deeper into beer culture with those who love it most. The first year of the club has been a huge success, and our aim is to take the experience to another level in 2022.”

Matt’s creative partners in this enterprise are Eric Ponce, manager of our Vintage barrel-aged program; and Jim “Sour Jim” Crooks, master blender at our Barrelworks wild ale cellar. Together, they have cooked up an epic slate of 31 beers spanning six separate collections throughout the year.

Exclusive Beer & Benefits

Each 2022 Brewmaster’s Collective collection features five different small-batch beers, inclusive of three barrel-aged Vintage beers and two Barrelworks beers. Of the 31 total beers slated for 2022, 17 will be member exclusives, and 10 will be made in collaboration with other breweries such as pFriem, The Bruery, Beachwood, Highland Park and Side Project as well as WhistlePig Farm distillery.

The 2022 annual membership also includes a welcome pack and a birthday gift. Each of the six collections includes special tasting glasses, food pairings or club merchandise, as well as virtual or onsite taste-along sessions with the brewers. Members enjoy an array of additional benefits, including 15 percent off Firestone Walker beer and merchandise purchases and 10 percent off Taproom food purchases; complimentary Paso Robles brewery tours; members-only ticketed dinners and events; and monthly member happy hours at all three Firestone Walker locations.

Limited to California residents in 2021, the Brewmaster’s Collective is now open to residents in eight additional states—Kentucky, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

“The Brewmaster’s Collective is not only an incredible platform for personally connecting with craft enthusiasts, it gives us a runway to unleash our imaginations as brewers,” Matt says. “These are going to be some of the most inventive and creative beers we’ve ever produced in our 25 years.”
