2020, right? It’s been a crazy year with some of our all-time favorite events being canceled such as our very own Invitational Beer Festival, the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) and Oktoberfest.

We didn’t want all Oaktoberfest celebrations to be canceled this year, so we decided to offer a party pack that lets you bring some of the annual tradition to your home.

In honor of Oktoberfest, we’re excited to re-release our seasonal Oaktoberfest beer with a few new twists. This year’s batch is a Vienna Lager, brewed at our R&D Propagator brewhouse exclusively for our taproom restaurants.

Oaktoberfest is named in honor of Paso Robles (Pass of the Oaks). Though we lagered last year’s batch in oak barrels, this year is 100% stainless fermented and aged.

About Vienna Lagers

A classic amber lager in the Vienna style, which was first served at the Oktoberfest celebration in Munich in 1872. Vienna lagers were so popular that they dominated the festival for decades until they were eventually edged out by lighter colored beers that came into favor in the second half of the 20th century.

Czech Saaz hops are used, which are the classic variety from Bohemia and were dominant in the Vienna style, dating back to when Bohemia was part of the Austrian Empire and provided most of the hops for the region’s breweries.

Our version is dominated by toasty malt flavors and is balanced by a delicate floral and spicy Saaz hop flavor and bitterness.
